One of its key features is the ability to access up-to-date timetables from all public transport companies in a single app. Moreover, it automatically provides alternative travel advice in case of unexpected trip cancellations.

Thanks to the travel planner within the 9292 app, you can conveniently plan all your trips within the Netherlands using various modes of transportation such as trains, buses, metros, trams, and ferries. The app even allows you to include options for traveling by bicycle, electric bicycle/scooter, or rental bike in your travel advice. By simply entering your desired trip from point A to point B, the app instantly provides you with the latest travel information for all public transport services across the country. It also supports Flex-OV, including services like the watertaxi in Rotterdam. The app ensures that any changes to your travel plans are promptly reflected by providing alternative travel advice. Plus, it offers live updates on public transport information from major transport companies such as NS, Arriva, Connexxion, Breng, Hermes, Keolis, RRReis, Qbuzz, EBS, U-OV, RET, HTM, GVB, and Waterbus.

The 9292 app further allows you to conveniently purchase e-tickets directly through the app's travel advice feature. Affiliated public transport services for bus, tram, metro, and ferry include Arriva, Breng, Connexxion, EBS, Hermes, HTM, Keolis, RET, U-OV, and Waterbus. For national train services, the app supports NS, Blauwnet, Qbuzz, Connexxion, Arriva, and Keolis.

Another noteworthy feature of the app is the "Playlist for this trip" button, which appears at the bottom of each travel advice. By utilizing the Playlist Generator, you can create a personalized playlist based on the estimated travel time of your chosen itinerary.

During these times, when considering the level of crowding on trains, buses, trams, or metros is crucial for your travel plans, the 9292 app has you covered. It provides expected occupancy details for each mode of transportation included in your travel advice as communicated by the transport services.

If you prefer walking, cycling, or riding a scooter at the start or end of your journey, the app's "Options" section allows you to specify your preference. This enables the app to provide comprehensive advice and relevant information for traveling from point A to point B. Additionally, the app includes details about electric bicycle rental locations if you select that option. This feature proves particularly useful for those last few steps to your final destination!

The app offers multiple options for selecting your departure or arrival location, including "current location" (via GPS), well-known locations such as shopping malls, stations, or attractions, specific addresses or bus stops, contacts from your device's contact list, and even frequently or recently used locations.

The starting screen of the 9292 app has a unique feature allowing you to add your favorite locations and routes using the plus-sign icon. This transforms the app into a personalized tool for quickly planning your trips from point A to point B without requiring an account. Moreover, you can add frequently used bus stops or stations to your starting screen for easy access to up-to-date departure times.

If you come across a specific travel advice that you would like to save for future reference, the app makes it simple to do so. Just use the plus-sign icon located in the top right corner of the travel advice screen. You can easily access your saved travel advice through the app's menu.

When viewing a travel advice, the app displays a map illustrating the recommended route. Tapping on the map provides a step-by-step breakdown of the travel advice on a detailed map. This interactive feature allows you to swipe through your entire trip for seamless navigation.
